Case:Identification of LAB
Anim Sci J. 85, 158-163 (2014)
The results of a collaborative research with School of
Veterinary Medicine, Azabu University have been published in the Animal Science
Journal.
【Objective】
We analyzed 2 plasmids contained in bifidobacterium
which were isolated from a healthy infant.
【Methods】
We cultured Bifidobacterium kashiwanohense JCM
15439 isolated from a healthy infant and purified plasmids
pBBKW-1 and pBBKW-2. Subsequently, we determined and analyzed a complete
sequence of these plasmids. We also performed an analysis with Southern-hybridization.
【Results】
The replicated plasmid pBBKW-1 was a rolling
circle-type and replicated pBBKW-2 was a θ-type which has a better stability than a rolling
circle-type.
Anim Sci J. 85, 158-163 (2014)
The results of a joint research with School of Veterinary Medicine, Azabu University have been published in the Animal Science Journal. The research results show discovery of a new strain of bifidobacteria from healthy infants and information of plasmids this bifidobacteria holds.
