Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a mosquito-borne infection and characterized by spontaneous hemorrhage with thrombocytopenia. The infection is observed from childhood among South-East Asian countries and has become problems. The male and female patients with DHF stageII (average age: 7.92 years old) were given 2 capsules of OM-X a day. We observed statistically significant improvements, including the regulation of hematocrit levels and the increment of blood platelet counts. No aggravation of symptoms were found.

We examined effects of OM-X as an adjunct in the treatment of severe pneumonia. The test subjects were 76 infants, 6-24 months old with severe pneumonia.  

In the OM-X + antibiotic (low amount) administered group, average number of days taken until alleviation of coughing and hospitalization remarkably reduced in comparison with the other group with administration of regular antibiotics. These results showed that OM-X is effective in reducing pneumonia symptoms. This achievement suggests that OM-X may be able to be an alternative of antibacterial agent.

We studied about improvement in diarrheal symptoms by ingestion of the OM-X capsules among 70 infants, 3-24 months of age with acute non bloody diarrhea. A period of diarrhea was shortened and a frequency of defecation per day was reduced in the group with the OM-X. Also, weight loss resulted from diarrhea significantly recovered among the 34 infants in the OM-X administered group. These results showed that OM-X is effective to improve diarrheal symptoms and significant weight gain.
